Dr. Muniz Castro earned his Medical Degree and MBA at UC Irvine. He completed his general surgery residency at Houston Methodist. Following this, he expanded his training with fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the University of Texas in Houston.
Dr. Muniz Castro specializes in colon and rectal cancer as well as benign anorectal conditions including complex anorectal fistulas, incontinence, hemorrhoids, and endoscopy to name a few. He is fully trained in Robotic Surgery using the Da Vinci Xi platform and is committed to improving patient outcomes and quick recovery.
Dr. Muniz Castro discovered the Coachella Valley through his wife who grew up here and is a practicing Ophthalmologist. Dr. Muniz Castro is passionate about serving his community and is looking forward to working with you.
